Terms & Conditions
Saunity Sauna Pod: Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before placing an order with Saunity ("we", "us", or "our"). By placing an order, you ("Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Product Description
-
Saunity Sauna Pods are handcrafted in Cornwall from high-quality wood, designed for durability and a premium sauna experience.
-
The interior wood is left untreated to preserve the natural scent and health benefits of the sauna environment.
-
The exterior can be treated at an additional cost with suitable weather-resistant wood oil and it is recommended to be treated annually after the first year of use to prevent moisture damage and weathering.
-
Each (base price) Pod is equipped with a 4.5kW Harvia heater or equivalent, designed for safe and efficient performance.
-
Due to the natural properties of wood, variations in tone, grain, and knots may occur and are not considered defects.
-
The Saunity Pod is built for outstanding efficiency, thanks to its insulation system. Unlike many pod designs on the market, every Saunity Pod is insulated, allowing it to retain heat exceptionally well. Each Pod comes standard with a compact 4.5 kW Harvia electric heater, capable of reaching temperatures of up to 90 °C. Saunity allow around 50 minutes for the sauna to heat ensuring the lava stones reach their optimal temperature, setting the stage for an authentic, restorative, and unforgettable experience.
2. Ordering and Payment
-
A deposit of 75% is required at the time of order to confirm production.
-
The remaining balance of 25% is due upon successful installation of the sauna pod, and no later than 3 working days after installation.
-
Late payment may result in interest charges and suspension of warranty coverage until full payment is received.
-
Custom orders or add-ons may require additional payment terms, confirmed in writing.
-
Accepted payment method: bank transfer.
3. Delivery and Installation
-
Delivery within Cornwall is included in the purchase price unless otherwise stated.
-
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to location, weather, or external factors outside Saunity’s control.
-
Standard installation is included.
-
The Customer must ensure a suitable, level, and accessible base is prepared prior to delivery. Base must be minimum 165cm wide (front where Sauna door is) by 215cm deep capable of supporting a total weight of 600 kg (plus occupants).
-
If the site is not ready or unsuitable for installation, additional charges may apply for re-delivery or rescheduling.
4. Pricing and Electrical Work
The base price includes:
-
Manufacture and supply of the Sauna Pod including heater including internal and external lighting.
-
Accessories: Bucket, Ladle, Thermometer, Bench headrest, Clothes hanger and 2x sauna hats.
-
Standard installation at the prepared site.
-
Electrical connection and sign-off of the components within the Pod structure (heater, lighting, controls).
The base price does not include:
-
Running of the main electrical supply cable from the Customer’s consumer unit to the Pod location.
-
Groundworks, trenching, or additional third-party electrical services.
The electrical connection from the Customer’s consumer unit to the Pod installation site is not included in the standard price of the Saunity Pod. This is due to variations between properties and site-specific requirements, which prevent a fixed cost from being provided in advance. Saunity partners with a trusted and certified installer, to deliver safe, high-quality electrical installations at your home. The cost of running the appropriate power supply from the consumer unit to the Pod location will be determined following a site survey. This cost is the responsibility of the Customer and will be invoiced separately.
5. Care and Maintenance
To ensure product longevity:
-
Do not coat or treat the interior wood with oils, stains, or finishes.
-
The exterior should be treated annually (after the first year of use) with suitable, quality wood oil/preservative.
-
Follow all safe usage and heating guidelines in the Harvia user manual.
-
Failure to maintain the Pod may void the warranty.
6. Returns, Refunds and Cancellation
-
As Pods are custom-built to order, returns are not accepted unless the Product is found defective under the warranty terms.
-
Due to the bespoke nature of our projects and the fact that raw materials are purchased immediately upon order, cancellations and refunds cannot be accepted once the deposit payment has been made. By placing an order and paying the deposit, customers acknowledge and agree to this policy.
7. Warranty
-
Saunity provides a 1-year limited warranty covering craftsmanship, equipment, and installation under normal use.
-
The warranty begins on the date of commissioning.
-
The method of remedy (repair or replacement) is at Saunity’s discretion.
-
Warranty does not cover:
-
Misuse, neglect, or improper care.
-
Damage from external events (fire, flood, vandalism, extreme weather).
-
Normal wear and tear, wood movement, micro cracking over time, or natural variations.
-
Modifications or repairs not carried out by Saunity or approved partners.
-
-
Third-party equipment (e.g., Harvia heater) is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
-
Please note that the warranty does not cover natural weathering, discoloration, or aging of the wood surfaces. As wood is a natural material, exposure to outdoor elements and light will inevitably result in changes to its appearance over time. This is considered a normal characteristic and not a defect.
-
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to contact@saunity.com with order details and photos.
8. Liability
-
Saunity is not liable for injuries, property damage, or losses resulting from improper use, negligence, or failure to follow care instructions.
-
Customers should consult a healthcare professional before sauna use if they have medical conditions.
-
Saunity liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective Products within the warranty terms.
9. Governing Law
-
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
-
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
