Terms & Conditions
Saunity Sauna Pod: Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before placing an order with Saunity ("we", "us", or "our"). By placing an order, you ("Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Product Description
-
Saunity Sauna Pods are handcrafted in Cornwall from high-quality wood, designed for durability and a premium sauna experience.
-
The interior wood is left untreated to preserve the natural scent and health benefits of the sauna environment.
-
The exterior can be treated at an additional cost with suitable weather-resistant wood oil and it is recommended to be treated annually after the first year of use to prevent moisture damage and weathering.
-
Each Pod is equipped with a Harvia heater, designed for safe and efficient performance.
-
Due to the natural properties of wood, variations in tone, grain, and knots may occur and are not considered defects.
-
The Saunity Pod is built for outstanding efficiency. Thanks to its wall and ceiling insulation system and its 14 cm thick multilayer wall construction, it retains heat exceptionally well. Each Pod comes standard with a compact Harvia electric heater, capable of reaching temperatures of up to 90 °C. Saunity allow around 50 minutes for the sauna to heat ensuring the lava stones reach their optimal temperature, setting the stage for an authentic, restorative, and unforgettable experience.
2. Ordering and Payment Terms
Deposit to Secure Order — 10%
-
To secure your build slot, confirm finishes, and begin scheduling, a 10% deposit is required at the time of ordering. This helps us reserve materials and production time specifically for your custom build and confirms commitment from both sides. Because each unit is made to order and tailored to your selections, it is difficult to reassign it to another customer once production planning begins. For this reason, the deposit becomes non-refundable 24 hours after the order is placed. We truly appreciate your understanding, as this policy allows us to dedicate the necessary time and resources to creating your product exactly as requested.
Progress Payment — 65%
-
A second payment of 65% is due 3 working days before delivery.
Final Payment — 25%
-
The remaining balance of 25% is due upon successful installation of the sauna pod, and no later than 3 days after installation.
Late payment may result in interest charges and suspension of warranty coverage until full payment is received. Custom orders or add-ons may require additional payment terms, confirmed in writing. Accepted payment method: bank transfer.
3. Delivery and Installation
-
Delivery within Cornwall is included in the purchase price unless otherwise stated.
-
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to location, weather, or external factors outside Saunity’s control.
-
Standard installation is included.
-
The Customer must ensure a suitable, level, and accessible base is prepared prior to delivery. The base must be constructed to the appropriate specifications based on your selected sauna model. It should be sized to fully support the footprint of the sauna and must be structurally capable of supporting the full weight of the unit, plus occupants.
-
If the site is not ready or unsuitable for installation, additional charges may apply for re-delivery or rescheduling.
4. Pricing and Electrical Work
Sauna base price includes:
-
Manufacture and supply of the Sauna Pod including heater including internal and external lighting.
-
Accessories: Bucket, Ladle, Thermometer, Bench headrest (with exception of certain layouts and models), Clothes hanger (with exception of certain layouts and models) and 2x sauna hats.
-
Standard installation at the prepared site.
-
Electrical components (heater, lighting and light controls).
Sauna base price does not include:
-
Installation of the main electrical supply cable from the customer’s consumer unit to the pod location, including any additional requirements such as an isolator switch or a new consumer unit.
-
Groundworks, trenching, or additional third-party electrical services.
The electrical connection from the Customer’s consumer unit to the Pod installation site is not included in the standard price of the Saunity Pod. This is due to variations between properties and site-specific requirements, which prevent a fixed cost from being provided in advance. Saunity Ltd. partners with a trusted and certified installer, to deliver safe, high-quality electrical installations at your home. The cost of running the appropriate power supply from the consumer unit to the Pod location will be determined following a site survey.
5. Care and Maintenance
To ensure product longevity:
-
Do not coat or treat the interior wood with oils, stains, or finishes.
-
It is recommended the exterior should be treated annually (after the first year of use) with suitable, quality wood oil/preservative.
-
Follow all safe usage and heating guidelines in the Harvia user manual.
-
Failure to maintain the Pod may void the warranty.
6. Returns, Refunds and Cancellation
-
As Pods are custom-built to order, returns are not accepted unless the Product is found defective under the warranty terms.
-
Due to the bespoke nature of our projects, materials and production planning begin shortly after an order is placed. For this reason, we offer a 24-hour cooling-off period from the time the deposit is paid.
-
Cancellations requested within this 24-hour period are eligible for a refund of the deposit. After 24 hours, as materials may have been ordered and scheduling confirmed, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
-
By placing an order and paying the deposit, customers acknowledge and agree to these terms.
7. Warranty
-
In accordance with the manufacturer’s terms and conditions, Harvia offers 2-year warranty on their heater. Components used within our saunas are carefully selected, high-quality branded products. Consumer unit, light switch, light housing are covered by their respective 2-year manufacturer warranties. The hinge system and door roller catch system are covered by a 1-year warranty, provided they are properly maintained. Due to their placement and exposure to the elements, these components require regular care, including lubrication at least once every two months (monthly maintenance is recommended). We recommend using WD-40 or a similar suitable lubricant to help ensure smooth operation and longevity.
-
We select trusted suppliers and reputable brands to ensure long-term reliability and performance throughout your sauna experience.
-
The warranty begins on the date of commissioning.
-
The method of remedy (repair or replacement) is at Saunity Ltd. discretion.
-
Warranty does not cover:
-
Misuse, neglect, or improper care.
-
Damage from external events (fire, flood, vandalism, extreme weather).
-
Normal wear and tear, wood movement, micro cracking over time, or natural variations.
-
Modifications or repairs not carried out by Saunity Ltd. or approved partners.
-
-
Please note that the warranty does not cover natural weathering, discolouration, or the natural ageing of wood surfaces, including gradual colour changes resulting from treatment oils or exposure to the elements. As wood is a natural material, exposure to outdoor elements and light will inevitably result in changes to its appearance over time including wood micro cracking. This is considered a normal characteristic and not a defect.
-
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to contact@saunity.com with order details and photos.
8. Liability
-
Saunity Ltd. is not liable for injuries, property damage, or losses resulting from improper use, negligence, or failure to follow care instructions.
-
Customers should consult a healthcare professional before sauna use if they have medical conditions.
-
Saunity Ltd. liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective Products within the warranty terms.
9. Governing Law
-
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
-
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
